GatorGard™ is a superior lining material that is more than just a raw material. GatorGard™ is an entire System. This spray-in System is designed to greatly simplify installation and creative alternatives for the pond designer, while providing superior appearance, durability and maintainability to the end customer.

Thicker Material. GatorGard™ is generally twice as thick as the conventional high-end rubber sheet liner. This alone enhances its physical properties. Conventional liner material of the same thickness would be impossible to manipulate into the variety of shapes required by decorative ponds.

Seamless. The GatorGard™ System produces a totally seamless liner not possible by any other means. This greatly enhances reliability and contributes to GatorGard™ 's superior appearance.

Non-Toxic. The GatorGard™ Pond Liner will withstand temperatures of 30° below zero to over 200° Fahrenheit and will not harm any aquatic life tested to date. This includes a variety of pond lilies, water grasses, frogs, and various fish including koi. The material after installation has no restrictions on discarding into landfills or other refuge collecting facilities.

Color. GatorGard™ is available in a four standard colors, blue, tan, gray, and black, and can be ordered, at extra cost, in custom colors. Different colors are not an alternative for conventional lining materials.

Perfect Fit. As anyone who has installed a conventional liner knows, fitting the liner to the myriad of complex shapes is labor intensive and frequently produces a look that is both unnatural and prone to damage. GatorGard™ conforms to the exact shape of the pond surface. This eliminates areas where a conventional liner would bridge a depression in the pond surface. This bridging affect is prone to puncture when the liner is put under pressure or loaded by some other means.

Harmful Waste. When installed by a Certified Installer GatorGard™ will have no folds or hidden pockets to trap harmful waste from fish or plants or debris, which has been thrown or fallen into the pond. It can be easily and completely cleaned and maintained. It can be ecologically balanced.

Superior Physical Properties. A GatorGard™ liner has superior physical properties when compared to conventional lining materials. Conventional liners have little ability to stretch when loaded. Instead of stretching they puncture. GatorGard™ has a minimum of 300% elongation making it give with severe loading and much less prone to puncture. GatorGard™ is a stronger and more flexible material that can be custom fit to virtually any shape needed for a decorative pond.

Design Modifications and Repair. The GatorGard™ System produces a liner that is easy to modify and expand after installation. Because the liner is applied in a liquid state, it is possible to modify a liner and return it to original seamless integrity with a minimum of effort. In addition GatorGard™ provides the ability to easily repair conventional liners made of concrete and rubber. The GatorGard™ System brings its tough, seamless and, durable properties to both old and new installations.

Design Flexibility. GatorGard™ significantly increases the design alternatives for the creative pond designer. Attachment to rock surfaces, build up of foam planting surfaces, and a variety of edge treatments open up endless possibilities for producing exciting and natural looking pond designs.

Variable Thickness. GatorGard™ makes it easy to provide additional durability to selected areas in the pond. The owner no longer has to worry about damage by the family dog or fear punctures when a rock is placed on top of the liner. Areas that are prone to damage can be invisibly coated with extra layers of GatorGard™ for the needed protection while having little or no affect on overall pond cost.

Surface Treatment. The GatorGard™ System also lends itself to the application of a non-skid or other texture to the finished pond surface. Sand or other aggregate can be applied while the material is still wet. It makes the creation of a safer and more attractive pond possible with limited additional effort.

GatorGard™ Feature Foam System. As part of the GatorGard™ specially formulated expandable foam can be applied to all pond surfaces. This foam greatly simplifies the final coating of the pond surface. It also provides a means to produce features such as shelves and overhangs with a minimum of labor.

Considering a Cement Pond. Cement has been the material of choice for pond building. Until the development of GatorGard™ it has been the best available technology. But in its many varied forms, it has serious limitations. The nature of its cure begets crack-producing tension and permeability issues. It has low tensile strength, a brittle matrix, and its elongation is nil. This is axiomatic: There are two kinds of concrete, that which is cracked and that which is going to crack.
